Hi Rod - I hope that you and Cathy got home OK last night. I wanted to tell you that the White Clay Fly Fishers meeting last night was very much appreciated. Thanks for your entertaining and informative presentation and for staying to talk to the many interested members afterwards. Good luck on your next fishing adventure. John, WCFF board member

Barbara Brazel Just a note from Joe Brazel's wife. He has loved Al's Rat!!! It has made his summer!!! The fish are tearing them up and he definiteley would like to purchase 2 doz. black size 24.

Hi Rod, I did purchase your book when it came out and I thought it was great. It brought back so many memories fishing Trico's on the Little Lehigh and hanging out at your shop with a lot of great fishermen some still here and some are gone. I sure miss those days a lot.

Rod/Kathy, Good show last night. Enjoyed chatting with you over dinner. The trout stream I mentioned is the North Branch of Buffalo Creek. The creek splits in the town of Mifflinburg. The main branch travels up the Buffalo Valley, while the North Branch travels northwest and eventually North into the mountains. The Mifflinburg Reservoir is located on the North Branch as it enters the mountains. Immediately above the reservoir the stream enters State Forest Land and the 5000 acre Hook Natural Area. There are several State Forest roads circling the natural area and access is by hiking into the natural area. It is a hidden jem, fished mostly by a couple of locals. Get in touch with me if planning to come to fish the Green Drake. Again, thanks for a great program.  Bob

Rod,

Thanks for a terrific presentation last night. It was good to see you again. I'm looking forward to your book. We'll follow you on Facebook, and have you back.

Rod,

Great talk last night at EJTU.  I’m a relatively new fly fisherman into his second season and found the talk extremely informative.  Unfortunately I did not bring a pad and pen to take notes.  I’m waiting for your book.  Basically last night you spoke about 8 flies in different sizes.  When you get time could you list those flies?  Also, keep me on the lsit for a copy of your book.  I’d like to buy it when it is published.

I enjoyed the presentations by you and Rod very much, and meeting both of you at our dinner gathering. Hope you upcoming journeys are delightful and fruitful. Rod's presentation was one of the best we have seen.

Richard Tullo Great job Rod. We will have you and Kathy back again.

Hi Rod, I have a question pertaining to hatches on the Little Lehigh and couldn't think of a better fisherman to ask than yourself. I was hoping you could inform me of what flies and or hatches I should be anticipating during the months of March and April? Like I said I couldn't think of a better person to ask than yourself and I'd greatly appreciate learning from your response in regards to my question.

Hey Rod! I don't think you remember me but I'm Mike Deutsch and I took lessons with you in the summer of 2010 when I was 14. I lost my love for fly fishing over the past 2 years but something just set a spark and I'm once again back in love with the sport! I recently read an article in the Morning Call about the shop and you, it was so sad to hear about all of it I couldn't believe it. Before I read the article or had knowledge that you left and closed shop in Dec. of 2010, I was planning on taking a few extra lessons from the best to get my game back up to speed. I plan on going fishing tomorrow as the start of my refreshment in fly fishing... I'm trying to remember as much as I can that you taught me three years ago, I'm still looking for my first catch on the Little Lehigh! Lastly, I just wanted to thank you for all those awesome lessons you taught me, I realize now there was so much more to fly fishing then I thought and I couldn't have asked for a better teacher! You taught me everything I can remember and know, and I just want to give you a big thanks, I appreciate it so much now that I'm a little older! I'd love to hear back from you.

Wish you well in Colorado, Rod!

It's awesome that you're back and I'd love a chance to sit down and talk with you since I haven't seen you since our lessons over five years ago. Since after the lessons you gave me I've progressed a good amount and recently came to the decision that I want to be a fly fishing guide in east Idaho. I go out every year to fish the Teton River and I cant get enough. There aren't enough words to express my passion for fly fishing anymore I want to take my skills and knowledge to great levels. I'd love to fill you in more and also listen to what you've been up to as well. I'm at the stream everyday as long as the weather is bearable and I'd love to sit down and chat with the finest fly fishermen I've known and my mentor!

How are you doing Rod? Hope you enjoyed your camping and fishing in Colorado. Do you remember me? I took lessons from you, casting and fly tying maybe back around 2002. I enjoyed coming up there to the shop and fishing, and you set up those special dinners with a guest. Good memories. Got away from hunting and fishing after the plant I had worked at for 33 years closed. Busy trying to make living. After several jobs I wind up taking a manager’s job doing Industrial Cleaning and Maintenance. It was very demanding so the only fishing I did was on vacation in October each year at my friend’s cabin on the Little Schuylkill near Hawk Mountain. I retired early for my health sake and am fly fishing, and fly tying again. Glad I found you on FB, I have read you articles, started reading your book I downloaded to my Kindle. I just started reading it when visiting the doctors office last week but I enjoyed reading about Al Miller. Looking forward to reading more from your web-page, see want the Trout Bum has to say..

I received lots of positive feedback on your presentation last night from our chapter members. Thanks again and I hope you had a safe ride home.

Mary Kuss Well done, Rod. I so enjoyed the program you did for the DVWFFA at Betsy Miraglia's house. Thank you!

Julien Robbins Love you Rod, you opened up a world of pleasure that I didn't know. Fly fishing is better than a shrink

Thanks. ...
I was at the Fly Fishers Club of Harrisburg last Friday evening and ran into a fishing friend. I told him about your wading staff plans and told him I would send them to him, but, to my surprise, they are not in your Kindle book.

Can you send those plans to me?

I plan to use my Rohrbach wading staff on Friday on Penns Creek.

Thanks and good fishing.
