December Summary for Eastern Spring Creeks



In early December anglers will be casting Midges, Honeybug Inchworms and Blue Winged Olive Emergers.

In mid December Blue Winged Olive Emergers, Beadheads, Al's Rats, Griffith Gnats, Wooley worms, Inchworms, Hares Ears & Wonder Nymphs will be effective on spring creeks. In some years we will start to see Snowflies. Water temperatures will be in the low forties.

Christmas day will find Trout sipping Midges in water of 41 degrees.

Successful patterns will include Honeybugs, Al's Rat, Bivisibles, Wooley Buggers and Snowflies.
