I am offering a course is for the angler who wants to be a serious tier. More than just teaching the mechanics of tying a Wooley Bugger. You will discuss the creatures we are imitating, why we imitate them and how to design the imitations.
You will learn features that should be captured in your imitation (triggering devices,) the properties of various fly-tying materials, why and when to use them and how to purchase them cost effectively.
Materials and tools will be provided. When you complete the course, you can decide if you like tying before you spend money on tools and material.
The course is designed for one or two participants. The five weekly sessions are conducted at what ever pace works for you!. A workbook will be provided.
Classes can be held at your location, A donation to Casting For Recovery in the amount of your choosing will be appreciated. If travel over ten miles is necessary reimbursement of travel expense will be appreciated.
