Happyness At Altitude

When I made the transition from fly shop owner to Trout Bum, I developed a bucket list of fish I wanted to catch on a fly.

Thanks to the Bucking Rainbow Fly Shop, in Steamboat Springs, CO; I put on a Pheasant Tail and crossed Cutthroat and Grayling from my list.

The shop went beyond the call of duty in helping me with some logistical problems, then sent me to Crosho Lake in Colorado’s Flat Tops region.

This Rio Blanco County road winds skyward along the Crosho Ditch, through a wonderful Aspen grove to an elevation of 8,901 feet.
